Mathias Pietri began his apprenticeship with Jean-Jacques Pagès in Mirecourt in 2006 and remained to study alongside him for three years.
Continuing his training as a luthier and wishing to improve his manufacturing skills, he spent nearly four years in Lisbon learning his craft alongside Christian Bayon.
Throughout these years, he took advantage of his frequent trips to Paris to attend regular workshops at Pierre Barthel's studio. There he made crucial connections for the rest of his career.
He then completed his training as a luthier by acquiring restoration skills from Florian Léonard in London, where he stayed for six years.
In August 2019, Mathias Pietri moved to Paris and joined the Pierre Barthel workshop. He is in charge of restoration and maintenance work. His expertise also allows him to advise clients effectively.
